FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a complicated pricing system. If someone considers hiring me, I prefer to go to their location, make an honest assessment about what i see a minimum improvement and a major change would entail, and right on the spot I would be able to give them a benchmark range of cost for both scenarios. Since my advise contains valuable information, I charge for the visit 250 dollars. If I am hired, the 250 will be credited to my total fees. I charge for my services 20% of the total cost of the project, and pay referral fees to the client 20% from my income of my next assignment. This is a good way to keep in check all aspects of cost, and the client doesn't have to worry how much i charge by the hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In this business the formal education in a classroom is just creating a platform, to start...the rest has to happen from an inner desire, and in my case it is tied to many many travels around the world. It means understanding different traditions, language, religion, history, customs generally speaking the entire culture. This aspect makes my work even more beautiful and desirable because there is not one dull moment, or routine...Every customer I know represent their individual "brand" inspired by their own cultural upbringing and the finished product has to fit them like a glove regardless of the cost of a project...Each project has a wholeness that allows the customer and his / her family fit in their own micro environment that they call home...and this is true for businesses, large or small.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was a child i loved beautiful things and designs. Good sense in design comes from within...it is tied close to the soul and one's spirituality...How to accomplish the results is the designer's job and that requires knowledge from many related fields. In this profession one grows every day because of new creations appearing every day globally.
