- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Insurance typically doesn't cover functional health analysis services. A person should budget for this as part of their self care. Initial consults vary between $320 and $500 depending upon the health history and symptom complexity. Lab processing and review is $50 and each lab (paid to lab) depends on what is being ordered, from $100 to $400 and up (though rarely is a lab over $400 called for for most patients). Follow up appointments for report of findings and check ins vary from $200 to $400. Nutraceuticals costs vary. If prescribed, range from $100 to $300 a month. (Prescripts if called for aren't nutritional supplements designed for long term use. Instead they are prescribed to correct an imbalance, for example cortisol insufficiency; when the problem is resolved the nutraceutical should be discontinued.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We develop long term relationships and support patients in their life long health journey. One patient said, "I really wanted someone to keep an eye on me health wise so I can enjoy my life and not worry about these things. That's why I came to Dr. Anderson." We perform an initial intake to understand the patient's chief health concern and to learn who the patient is what their symptoms are and to obtain a health history. If labs make sense for the patient they are ordered. Testing kits are sent to the patient for in home testing. (Unless blood draws are needed. In that case, patient will go to a blood draw center near them.) Lab results are evaluated and a report of findings consult is scheduled with the patient. Treatment plan and follow up to monitor progress are put in place.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides my degree I study all the time and not just because my State Board license requires it. The Integrative Health community offers programs all year long. There are amazing innovations and research studies that I happily share with my patients and clients.
