FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continuously doing workshops and getting further certification in this field. Alternative Medicine is vast and I want to stay sharp with new discoveries - although the practices are ancient and time tested. I always feel that there is something for me to learn and grow upon to deepen my practice to serve others.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After caring for my father at home and bringing in Hospice workers, I realized I had a gift of caring for people at their end of this Life. I've been practicing holistically with my children for years and any friends who would let me help them, but really being present with my father 24/7 and being at his side through all the stages of his last months on this planet opened my eyes to how deep hospice care can go. And I learned that Hospice is not solely for those who are passing, it is for those who are still living - giving peace, support, and care to anyone who is in the middle of a health challenge.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common session is someone who's been very sick and in pain. I work for a minimum of one hour and more often than not go to a persons home. The session is a combination of a relaxation scan, Reiki, Aromatherapy and some in-bed yoga (or out of bed if they are well enough). Sometimes people are so relaxed that I leave them sleeping like babies.
