FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am flexible. Every project is different. My usual going rates range $50-$100 hourly, $300-$500 daily, or negotiable flat per-project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every day is continuing education for me. I read a lot of articles, I ask a lot of questions of colleagues, and I constantly test new software and hardware. I believe that the best form of education is to seek mentorship whenever possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child actor I often spent time in a recording booth, doing voice over work for radio commercials and such. I loved to hang around the control room after I finished my session and watch while the engineer and director edited my performance. They could take the best parts of several different takes and assemble them seamlessly as if I had done one ultimate performance all at once. They could even rearrange things to create a phrase that I never even said. The power of being able to make real life seem even better or create moments that never happened was irresistible to me so I eventually diverted my career away from acting and began to pursue video editing. Since then I've done a little bit of everything.
