- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This is a long story (smile). My mother was very ill and we needed mobile and or traveling notary services for her. t the time we didn't really know if it was doable. But the internet is fantastic. After doing a search viola there tons of them. I called and inquired about some prices and availability and scheduled one for my mom. She was in the hospital at the time. It was a piece of cake, everything went smoothly and it was a relief for me and my family to have all of this done. It gave my mother a great deal of piece of mind most of all. Over the next few years I had two additional occasions to use traveling notary services for my mother before she passed. I thought to myself what a wonderful connivence this was for a disabled person or anyone who may have trouble getting to a notary and really needed the service. I thought what a cool job. You had the travel aspect (freedom), meeting new people, seeing (and getting into) some beautiful homes. And most of all it was something that made me feel useful.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that notaries have a valid commission. Make sure they are knowledgable of what there duties are. Check their references if possible.
