One of my favorite studios in LA! Tim Moore is a total pro and a sweetheart of a guy. Works quickly. It's always a relaxed and total professional setting. The studio itself is gorgeous, too--very impressive.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask to hear examples of previous work. The equipment is important but also is the experience of the person using it.
Also be straight forward with what end result you are hoping to get out of the experience i.e demo, radio ready release etc.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Not all studios are equal but more so than price or equipment I would want to be sure that the engineer or producer knew what they were doing. I would also want to be very clear on the objectives. It's about managing the expectations of the client.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What equipment do you use?
How much is your hourly rate?
Can I hear an example of your work?
What kind of quality can I expect from how much time I'm wanting to book?
