A. Home Interiors,Decorators,Designer--applications of lacquers,faux finish effects,decorative painting,restorations,custom kitchen finishes.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask questions regarding the party you want to hire. how long has party been in business. How long at location. Does party have available samples of work. Does party seem knowledgeable of his trade.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Pricing-Quality-Service,highest quality of Lacquers & Paint Products and experienced workmanship.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The personal gratification when working with all different types of woods which include finishing and refinishing,and the variety of Faux Finshes on Walls & Furniture.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long have We been in Business and how much experience in the finishing business? Business since 1961 family owned and operated,in the trade since 1950.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. When they first added the new addition in the rear of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and my services were used by Cannel & Chaffin I marbelized the Niches on the stage and faux finished the ballistrades,everyone on site kept asking if it was real Marble,that was a compliment in itself.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The difficulty of creating masterful illusions on wood and iron and the pricing of quality materials.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. family owned and operated since 1940. Studied on the quality of materials.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I am proud of every job I have encountered.It is called pride in your work,and confidence in yourself.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Study and ask question on computer about latest materials that are eco-friendly and still maintain a high quality of proper applications on our work.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. New lacquers,paint materials. If i live through next decade healthy is all i need.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Louie 15 three drawer chest. Item was made of oak unfinished. I distressed the wood,bleached it,stained it with dyes and lacquer coated between dyes. Bullnose and drawer carvings i trimmed with white terra cotta,wore the paint,did a final stain overall,lacquered again.Took 4 days to allow drying time of materials. Cost is a personal question.

A. The is nothing complicated--You are paying for my craftsmanship and knowledge of my trade, for I am a mastercraftsman of my trade.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Learn about finishing-refinishing-solvents-lacquers-different paints for different woods,metal,iron,etc. Try to find a small company that you could attach yourself too. Ask yourself this question. Is it worth it to absorb all the pollutants that you will absorb through your lungs and open pores of your skin. I suggest you think very carefully. Who ever decides to venture into this profession--Good Luck and Persevere, thats it.

A. How long do you intend to work?----It is not called work when you can create the faux illusions and creativity and accomplish the final and ultimate goals that as of today I am still trying to achieve---NO PROBLEM
