Introduction: Clients have had amazing results and changes in health while eating my meals. I am able to adjust menus based on what YOU like and dislike so it's a more personal experience. I was trained in Vegan, Vegetarian, Raw and living foods, Ayurveda and Macrobiotics at The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin, TX. Unlike a traditional culinary school, I received training in nutrition and specialized diets such as Celiac and Crohn's disease. I love interacting with people and helping them reach their wellness goals!

Amanda is awesome! Whether you're looking for healthy meal prep/delivery or just need someone to cater a dinner with friends at your house -- she can handle it! Amanda prepares all of my meals and delivers them to me weekly, so I always know that I have delicious and healthy meals ready when it is time to eat. I just grab the labeled containers that she leaves in my refrigerator, and I'm ready to go. I have almost no time to prepare food, so this is extremely valuable to me. Amanda discusses my tastes and cravings, and designs a custom meal plan that is delicious and well-balanced. She has opened my eyes to so many healthy alternatives to foods that I love and to all sorts of new things that I never thought I would like. She always answers my questions and is really thoughtful in making sure I enjoy each meal and have something delicious for each day of the week. I can't recommend Amanda enough -- she truly helps me live a healthy lifestyle, and has even taught me how to prepare healthy meals for myself. I also had Amanda cater a dinner with friends, and it was such a great experience. She interacted with everyone and explained what she was doing. It was like a cooking class for all of us. Her gluten-free baked goods are phenomenal, and you definitely have to try her Cashew "Sour Cream" Sauce and vegan enchiladas! Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten free, raw, etc, Amanda knows her stuff and will work with you to create some of the most delicious (and nutritious) foods you will ever eat.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am constantly learning and reading about nutrition and health and I look at new recipes more than I'd like to admit. Honestly, my mind is always on food!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always wanted to work with people and was an athlete for most of my early life. After working in an office setting for three years, I decided that I was never going to be passionate about that type of work. I was getting sick often, gained some weight and generally felt unhappy with my health. So i started exercising regularly again and changed my diet completely. After experimenting in the kitchen a lot to tailor to my likes and dislikes, I genuinely fell in love with cooking and went to culinary school, moved away from my hometown to Los Angeles and ultimately found my niche!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Personal chef work, cooking classes and small event catering.
