About OrangeBone

hired 1 time on Thumbtack

Welcome to OrangeBone on Melrose Avenue!

Established in 2007, we are located in the heart of Melrose Avenue's (a couple blocks east of Fairfax) creative and trendy shopping district in Los Angeles where fashionistas and celebrities are seen everyday. We stay on the cutting edge of the latest dietary trends, hottest pet fashions and accessories from both local and foreign talents, so that you can always find hard-to-find, unique items for your four-legged friends.

Come and see for yourself what everyone is talking about!

We are proud of providing everything pups:

- Dog Grooming:

With more than 30 years of combined industry experience from West Los Angeles to Tokyo, our veteran groomers will take care of your friends with utmost respect and personal care. We are not a grooming factory, but a personalized, pet stylist boutique.

Sensitive or itchy skin? How about pure olive oil or organic oatmeal bath? How about feline grooming? (Yes, love thy enemies!) We also work with rescue organizations (and service dogs), and give special discounts so the rescued pups can have better chances of getting adopted as well.

We have free parking in the rear area for grooming customers, which is rare on Melrose Avenue. Just ring the door bell.

We now offer pick-up services! Find out our current list of services by downloading OrangeBone's service list.

- Non-anesthetic Teeth Cleaning (Monthly):

We have more than 15 years of experience in non-anesthetic teeth cleaning service for cats and dogs. Please make an appointment now to get an exclusive online discount (plus ask for a grooming combo discount)!

- Yummies:

We got it all: organic, holistic nutrition and dietary supplements, including grain-free dry/can diets from Natural Balance, Taste of the Wild, Precise Holistic Complete, and great handmade treats from local vendors. We even carry organic barley grass all the way from Idaho for your friend's well-being. We carry the best of the best! Now, ask for free delivery for our loyal neighbors!

- Couture:

We offer doggy lifestyle made from European vendors (especially from Italian handmade goods) and USA-made fashion items (many are affordably priced, and yet do not compromise in design and quality).

- Arts and Literature:

Our library of canine philosophy is growing!

- Shopaholic Services:

Let us babysit your canine friends and spoil them with fresh treats, water and toys while you're shopping on Melrose Avenue, or better yet, why not just rent out our cool doggy strollers? Ask for hourly rates. We have limited space and strollers.

- Rescue Puppies:

We only have the cutest from local city and county shelters everyday.

Pamper your four-legged friend at OrangeBone! We are always looking for better ways to serve our customers. Giving you access to our calendar will make our communication easier and convenient. Hope to see you all here!

We sponsor local city animal shelters, and we are also proud to volunteer and sponsor Stephen Group in feeding the homeless in downtown Los Angeles every month. So far, 3200+ bowls were served! Part of our income and time are used to support these worthy causes.

Here's a wonderful story.... Our Sunny (Pit Mix Gal) in her get away car with her new roomy, Dakota (a three legged Pit) - now somewhere in Costa Mesa kicking back in their own green!
