Make sure you connect with your photographer and like them. The better the relationship you have is, the more pleasant and effective your shoot is.

Most people have been taught to stand and look a certain way in pictures. During our sessions, be it wedding or headshots, we have to get people to unlearn all that and be themselves. It takes guts to open up and show vulnerability, but that's what gets that amazing shot.
