Introduction: I am well-versed in various lighting conditions and various subject-matter (astrophotography, landscape, head shots, wedding shoots, party photography, commercial product photography, model photography, street photography, architectural photography, etc). I am also a location scout / tour guide (for Atlas Obscura) on the side, so I have a great grasp on different backdrops and settings around LA. My work stands out because of my artistic composition and use of unique foregrounds/backgrounds.
I love capturing a moment... Committing one solitary second to celluloid (or nowadays) a digital file. I shoot on film using a Hasselblad 500c and digitally using a Nikon D610 FxSLR. I love to explore the relationship and interactions between nature and human subjects. I also work as a therapist, so the human condition really intrigues me and inspires me to immerse my subjects in the hidden pockets, corners and crevices of the city that oft go unnoticed.
**You'll notice a 2+ year gap in reviews. I started this account a couple years back and then immediately found a full-time job as a therapist/educator. I am still working as a part-time therapist/educator, but I am trying to focus more (no pun intended) on my artistic craft.**

Headshots for me are awkward and forced, and a little nerve-wrecking. However, Ben was professional and personal and put my nervousness at ease. He also knew how to capture the best angles for headshots. His headshot and landscape work are stunning. I work definitely work with him again.

I did a model shoot session with Benjamin Harmon Photography for my modeling portfolio and it was a great experience. He made me feel as ease and has a good eye for locations and composition. He was open to my input and incorporating our ideas together to get the best images. I am happy with the photos and the experience.
