My husband and I wanted some very specific things in a wedding photographer, especially since I was an art student. When I saw Laura's work I knew I loved her photojournalistic style, but she she was also really open to our ideas and what we wanted in the end which was perfect. She was always very quick to respond via phone or email and everything was taken care of well in advance for the wedding day. When the day was finally here, it was flawless, much thanks to Laura! She helped navigate guests for photos with ease and had a fantastic aura behind the camera. Many of our guests commented on Laura's great personality and style. Her and Neil mingled enough with guests to make everyone comfortable for natural photos while still being professional. All of our friends thought she was actually a guest/friend of mine from school! Service for the photos was perfect. When my husband and I looked through them for the first time we couldn't believe how beautiful they were and that Laura was able to capture all of the most important moments and details. We have been married almost a year and I still go through the photos frequently. I'm happy that I'm reminded of Laura and our great experience with her and Neil.

I can't say enough good things about Laura. She is an amazing photographer and an even better person. She captured our wedding day perfectly. I would recommend her with no hesitation. I seriously believe you couldn't find a better person to photograph your special day. We got married this past August and Laura captured every detail. I really don't know how she did it. She was discrete during the ceremony and such a blast at the reception. Our photos arrived a few weeks after our wedding and we were able to relive our wonderful day all over again. I have nothing negative to say about our experience with Laura as our photographer. She is so sweet and talented!

Laura Ford is a creative approach to your wedding day. I loved the way she communicated, stayed relaxed under pressure and her unique perspective on my event. If you're looking for a typical photographer, she is not your photographer. She met my expectations and went beyond. I found her to be unintrusive and always available with a positive and loving personality.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I shoot a lot of weddings! I love them and I think you will see in my work that I am committed to capturing every perfect moment, planned or unplanned. I also shoot family photos and portraits, and those are quicker jobs that are like little bursts of fun creativity for me. Kids especially are so fun to work with! Having 3 nephews, ages 2-6, I know that a possible meltdown can be just around the corner at any given moment. I am completely understanding and flexible with family shoots. We keep it fun, quick and most importantly- comfortable! Kids can find it just as uncomfortable as adults to be in front of a camera. I am especially aware and have a few tricks up my sleeves for working with timid little ones. :-)
