FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have a standard pricing system: an enclosed booth rents for $150 per hour, and an open station rents for $120 per hour. **These are our base rates, and do not take into consideration any package deals (I am partnered with a DJ and Face Painter), specials, or negotiated discounts.** We also have a Photo Room, which rents for $200 per hour, and combines a 10'x10' white pop-up (with walls) and our 5'x5' enclosure, creating an entire event within an event, and can be decorated to resemble anything from a circus Big Top to a Moroccan lounge to a disco!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication, communication, communication... I want to know everything from the back-story of the event to the ages and personalities of the guests to the details on the venue, theme/colors/vision my client has for their event. While many people have been *in* a photo booth before, lots of people have never *rented* one before, and they are unsure of the process. By finding out as much as possible about them and their celebration and making it safe and encouraged to ask questions, I can help guide them through the many options they have, until they are as excited as I am about their booth. After an initial conversation (or face to face meeting - I will take field trips to venues, if asked!), I will draft an Agreement that outlines everything we have discussed, and send it via email for my client to review: once signed, this serves as a template for services as well as a contract, and is revised anytime a change or payment is made. And then, the fun part begins! I build mock up art of the photo strips or cards, which my client is free to alter as many times as is needed to get it just the way they want it, up until 48 hours before the event, when we lock it all in. The same is true of any theme-specific props, decor, and/or backdrop/drapery we plan to use. If the event is planned a long time in advance, I will check in from time to time, if I haven't heard from my client, just to let them know I have not forgotten about them, and that we are still on track: the last thing I want is for a client to worry that I might not be there, or would arrive unprepared.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. The wonder of the internet is that there are always in-depth tutorials, reviews, and articles coming out to address best practices (and fails) in the photo, lighting, and DJ industries. As the technology changes, our fluency in the latest standards, and features inspires us to create more, innovative ways to pass on the enhancements to our clients.
