Introduction: Having studied photography at the Academy of Art University and Laney College, Jason's passion for capturing images is being challenged. Inspired by the likes of world-renowned photographers Annie Leibowitz, Herb Ritts, and Michael Kenna, he wishes to pursue his masters in fine arts. Jason Mehrtens Photography conceptualizes beautiful and creative portraits, whether to it is capture life's moments, inspirations, editorial material, or even state of being. Jason's passion and experience in photography extends over 24-plus inspirational years. He is currently involved in creative projects, but are not limited to: * Daniel Magazine: An up-and-coming gay Asian lifestyle magazine (stay tuned for more information), shot the cover for premiere issue * Featured in the upcoming documentary film: Headshot, One model, Ten Photographers, about up and coming Los Angeles photographers * Rent the Broadway Musical

Engagement - Jason was great to work with. My husband and I had never done a "real" photo shoot before, and he did a great job at directing us. He snapped some wonderful shots of us that captured who we are perfectly. Wedding - Jason also did the photography for our wedding a few months later. He was professional, and very easy to work with. Some of the photos he took at our wedding are the best photos we've ever had taken of us. He's truly a gifted photographer.
