The name says it all. DKS offers you the "solution" to having great, quality controlled images. You won't find anyone who cares more about your finished product, or who will work more painstakingly to achieve the result. David is a detail guy, but isn't that you want when capturing images of your most special day? To David, good enough... well, it isn't! He'll color correct to perfection and check his contract and all of the other elements that make a great image, and he will do it with care and precision. It's just who he is, and what makes DKS Media Solutions someone to consider. Add to that, his caring and personality make him someone with whom it is easy to relate. Talk to David before making your final decision on whom you want to entrust with your day, and, ultimately, your images of a lifetime.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask to see the photographer's portfolio, and try to pick someone who's style resonates with you. Always meet with the photographer before the shoot, and for important shoots, it can be good for the photographer to preview the location. Make sure your photographer has a contract with the terms and conditions of your agreement clearly outlined. Ask your photographer to give you high quality prints from a reputable color printing lab, or from their own studio. And for digital images, ask the photographer to size them per specification; your photo may look great on your desktop, but look terrible as your profile photo for social networking. Proper pressing ensures that your image always looks great.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Today's digital age may make taking great photographs seem easy, but to do so reliably and with lucidity and brilliance requires an artist and a professional. For example, many people would not know at what F-Stop a particular scene should be filmed, or how to use a light meter. They may not know the difference between using flash or natural light.

If not, chances are, you need a professional photographer. A pro will bring two cameras to your wedding or important event, to ensure against equipment failure. She may have expensive, high-quality lenses, to ensure that your photos are sharp and clear. She may have an ISO compliant digital darkroom work station, in order to retouch your photos to perfection.

Great photography is a detail-oriented work of love, technique, artistry--and professionalism.
