Knowledgeable, talented, encouraging, and patient the requirements of a great teacher. Torrie Jones has made learning music a fun yet challenging experience. I liked that he was able to see how I learned and apply that to the lessons. It helped me grasp concepts faster. After each session I felt like I learned something new and I could apply it instantly to current music that I was working on. He's lessons are great for any level, especially for beginners like me.

Torrie came over for the first time about 3 weeks ago. My son Jack, 5 years old, was a little apprehensive. After 25 short minutes, Jack passionately interrupted the lesson to tell me, "Mommy, I am having so much fun!" Torrie has been an amazing instructor for Jack. He is friendly, personable, knowledgeable, caring, invested, and most recently the topic of many dinner table conversations. Because of Torrie, Jack keeps asking for MORE lessons with Torrie. We could not be happier with the gift Torrie has given our son. A love of music and a new-found passion to learn how to play the piano. Thank you Torrie. You are a ROCK star of an instructor.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The more exact your goals are, i.e. "I want to be able to play Beethoven's 'Fur Elise within three months'" or "I want to be able to sit in on keys with my friend's r'n'b group", the easier it is to create a focused lesson plan to help get you closer to that goal each week. That being said, I am happy to teach students who don't have a particular focus in mind and craft a lesson strategy based on your tastes.
