FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University, a Master of Music degree from UCLA, a teaching credential from California State University in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science degree with dual minors from UCLA. I attend annual conferences from Music Teachers Association of California, Conductors Guild, and American Choral Directors Association. I also continue my own research and publish articles regularly at conferences such as the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had fantastic teachers in my life who shared about life through sharing about music. I feel strong, balanced, reliable, and loving, and part of that is due to my teachers. I believe that the calling to teach in this way is my highest calling.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I facilitate students' development musically by helping them grow in technique, performance, and music theory. To me, music is like a language. From the individual symbols to the grammar to the rhetoric, I help students tap into and understand the parts of themselves that have always been musical.
