- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been attending the Music Teacher's Association of California conventions, and I receive their quarterly periodicals that pertain to new ideas and developments in teaching. I also read other teachers' newsletters to gain and implement new ideas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved music. I still remember when I was four years old, pretending to the play the piano on a coffee table. Fortunately, my mother also had piano in mind for me, and I have been playing ever since. While most people who pursue music in college and beyond want to perform (and see teaching as a way to earn more income), I've come to see that teaching is actually my passion. I come alive when I'm helping someone else discover the excitement and beauty of music.
