- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I taught privately while I was finishing up a Bachelor Degree in Jazz Voice and Composition. I fell in love with teaching there and continued to do it after I completed university.
Eclare Music Studio: Voice and Piano Lessons
Introduction: Having had experience both as a serious academic student and a working musician, I believe that my approach to teaching is practical and fun. I have over ten years of conservatory/university level training, which exposed me to a number of different teaching styles. From those lessons, I have created my own process and it has been such a positive experience to see my students benefit from it!
I love watching my students discover things. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing them working something out and suddenly get it. Music is full of wonderful little pieces of magic, and you get to seek them out once you start to learn its language.

Elizabeth customized a plan for both my immediate audition needs and long-term growth. When I have trouble mastering a skill, she changes the approach until I am able to lock it in. Elizabeth is anything but a cookie cutter music teacher. Highly recommended!

Elizabeth is a friendly, knowledgeable, creative teacher. She's great with generally physical aspects of singing (exercises, posture, warmup drills) but also great with music theory (if you want it), creative exercises, feedback on how you are sounding, and crafting lessons according to the type of singer you wish to be. She has an interesting background in music (jazz, more avant-garde improvisation) and is genuinely interested in her students' work.
