FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a pricing system, but every photo shoot is a little different. It's always reasonable. Feel free to ask!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
- Pre-shoot: The first thing we do is nail down your objective... who is the image for, why are you making it, what's the mood. I have ways to distill this. Then we carve out an artistic angle for the shoot. For some projects I find it helpful to pull together some style references. - Shoot: The shoot is a safe place, where you can be yourself. We start slowly and then find a groove to follow. We look at the images together and discuss touch ups. - Post: I send you highlights before you get home. Within a few days, I send you fully mastered, hi-res images in a gallery, where you can select favorites, share, download and order prints. Framing and albums too. - Then we do it again!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in still photography and art history. I've also spent many years working in film and television, which informs my work. I'm focused on portraits and lifestyle shoots now, but I naturally draw from my documentary and event experience.
