Introduction: I get to be a witness to life and a curator of memories. Images last a long time, especially in the digital age... to be able to deliver something that is as close to timeless in this world is a beautiful thing. The great thing about good photographers is that they are varied and have a strong voice, storytellers with different angles. I like being a voice out there.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I love to shoot everything. Living in Los Angeles, I am primarily gigged out for event photography and by Goldenvoice for Rock and Rock photography. Weddings, engagements, family, and portraiture/headshots also fill my calendar. I have shot campaigns, menus, textiles, etc. You can find my portfolio at: www.eugeneshoots.com Looking forward to working with you. -E

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Before you talk about any logistics (time, money, travel) examine what you really want. It's ok to pepper a photographer with question involving style, taste and craft. Ask about the timeline in which your images are turned over, ask if you get a second round of retouches and if there is a cost, how much. Sometimes with clients with a particular taste, I like to create a mood board for which we can exchange ideas leading up to a shoot. You can easily swap emails back and forth of images you have grabbed online, all of which can be set for a mood board or shot list the day of. Then again, some people like to just leave it in the hands of the shooter and not worry about it! There are no wrong ways.
