FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I do read business blogs and frequent writing websites, I find it is best to research each candidate's positions individually.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most clients want a resume for a specific position, though many want a document that serves as a broad template which they can edit for each targeted job.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I wrote a resume for a woman who was recently laid off when her company downsized. She had worked for the company for 25 years and had never had to build a resume before. She was worried her age would be a deterrent, but I helped her see that her experience is an asset. By the end of the intake interview, she was telling me how much better she felt about finding a job. "I didn't realize how much I've done until we laid it all out," she told me. Once she received her finished resume, she said she started sending it out with a renewed confidence in her abilities.
