Introduction: As a Spanish language advertising writer, I know techniques and have knowledge of the language that few tutors have. I have also supervised multiple writers and speakers in the course of my career. My students. Seeing that sparkle in their eyes when I connect the information at hand and make it their own. I have had kids who don't seem to mind what they are learning and end up having a smile because something "clicked" in a class. I am a storyteller. Languages are much better taught using storytelling techniques.

My son was doing really well in Spanish until he got into Honors Spanish 3 and had to read literature. He was completely lost and was getting bad grades on tests. He started to work with Isabel and immediately started getting A's again on every test. She took the time to make sure he understood everything he was reading and he seemed very engaged in the process. Isabel is not only a native Spanish speaker but she is highly educated. It's very easy to find native Spanish speakers in Los Angeles but many of them are born in the US and lack some of the more complex Spanish that is found in literature. Whether you are looking for a tutor for your child for Spanish 1 or AP Spanish, Isabel can be the difference maker in their grasp of the language. She's the best tutor we ever hired!!!

Isabel is an excellent tutor. My daughter is in 8th grade and was not doing well in Spsnish. Within 2 sessions with Isabel, my daughter's teacher sent me a note stating the amazing improvement. I was shocked-only 2 sessions! We use Isabel every other week now and before tests when possible. She is always on time, professional, and a pleasure. I strongly recommend Isabel as your Spanish tutor.

My daughter went from a C to an A with the help of Isabel.We started with once a week lessons from Isabel and that helped bring my 8th grader up to speed on her classwork. Now she takes a lesson ever other week to learn what it takes the teacher 2 weeks to teach the class.. Isabel has been a tremendous help. Her calm manner and easy lessons makes Spanish a much easier subject. My daughter will continue Spanish through high school because Isabel has made it much easier for her to learn it.

My pricing is simple. $75 an hour for Spanish tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I read a lot in Spanish, I know about new authors utilizing new language techniques and hear about new teaching techniques coming out of Mexico through personal friends who are also teachers and tutors.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was called many times to teach on a number of levels, from college/graduate school to tutoring kids. My students like me and do not tire of me.
