Immersion- taking students to public places where everything needs to be conducted in English/Spanish to have different scenarios.
I have helped my students get 5's on the AP Spanish test and high scores on the SAT II Spanish test. Whether the students would like help with their Spanish homework or overall conversation (slang, culture, music, etc.), I make the sessions fun and interactive.
I have taken my students to restaurants where they speak Spanish and conduct everything in Spanish. I don't limit the lessons to your textbook. I have also helped my students sign up for cultural immersion programs abroad.

Having to choose a tutor out of a list does bring with it some apprehension about whether you made the correct choice. However this was short lived after meeting Sharmineh. I dare say my expectations were surpassed.
We met at a coffee shop and Sharmineh made the effort to ensure that the commute was easy. She was early and able to select an appropriate table. She took the time to assess my current knowledge, gently prompting me as we went along. Sharmineh provided valuable notes in the many areas of vocabulary, grammar and idioms. I felt comfortable and able to express myself freely, even as I made mistakes.
She wanted to know what I wished to gain from the sessions. This was very important to me as my emphasis is on conversation. I have had a few tries at improving my proficiency and I believe that I have now found the proper tutor to take me forward. My thanks to Sharmineh.

I was very satisfied with my tutoring experience with Sharmineh! She is attentive and makes the lessons enjoyable. We practiced speaking Spanish throughout our sessions which really helped my oral skills to improve. She made sure I understood concepts and chapters instead of simply breezing by, elaborating on each topic.

Sharmineh is an excellent Spanish tutor. She's helping improve my conversational Spanish, and she gives me as much of the grammar as I want - she is an expert. She works with my learning style - she'll go through formal lessons or keep it conversational, or a mix of the two. Highly recommended!

Sharmineh is a great teacher, I sought her out for lessons in spanish, and the results from my lessons have been great. Sharmineh is on time for every lesson, responsive, bright, and enthusiastic about teaching/learning. I highly recommend choosing Sharmineh.
