FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We create a custom budget and proposal for each project. This is because it is difficult to predict production budgets, due to many variables that change from one project to the next.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step in our process is understanding what our client's needs and wants. We like to sit down for an initial consultation during which we discuss the scope of the job in as much detail as possible. This conversation can take place in person (preferred), over the phone or Skype (2nd choice), or even email (not recommended). Once we have an understanding of the project, we will be able to price the work accurately. We create a custom budget for each project that encompasses the entire scope of the work from beginning to end. We then present the client with a comprehensive proposal that breaks down the project by phases, and includes a price breakdown as well as a detailed description of each phase. This proposal functions as a guide for the entire project. Once the proposal has been accepted, we sign all pertinent contracts, and collect the initial fees required to officially kick off the project. From there, it's all full steam ahead. We move from phase to phase, all the while remaining in constant communication with our client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Studio Arts from the University of California, Irvine where I studied video and performance art (2001).
