Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Imaginative rapport with the client is the key to any design's success. Input from both points-of-view are critical to the success of any project. It sets the creative journey in motion and brings to the surface ideas not explored before. In today's world of digital imagery, we are not far from achieving the look-and-feel seen in our mind's eye.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The real secret with today's top software is layering. You find it in all the arts. It's really not a secret, but working with layers reminds me of embroidery. The weaving of images, video and sound to tell the client's story requires a 3D perspective into everything put into the mix. Most of my projects have very little time to emphasize its strong points, so it's important that all the contents of the canvas conform to a common theme. "If it doesn't fit, it's gotta go!" is my motto for building your project. The theme becomes the drill-down perspective that links everything together and pushes your design out-of-the-box.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. Taco Bell Multimedia wanted me to do a piece on Holiday Safety. The graphics given to me were too bitmapped to work with so I asked them if could get a little creative. What I churned out was a 3D animation using the same concepts provided by them and they were very pleased.
