Owen Captures

The above review from Matthew Seow aka Original Matik, is extremely surprising and strange. We shot his music video November 14th, 2013 (7 months ago). His original Thumbtack review January 23rd, 2014 (5 months ago). By Matthew Seow aka Orginal Matik, after he had reviewed and recieved his final video. (5 stars) "Salute to Owen for delivering WHAT he said he would, in the TIME he said would have it ready. Hard to find that in any field these days. Very professional and killer work etchic. Aside from the oddly contradictory reviews (many months apart), I will address the statements as best I can; Once editing was finished, we watched the final video multiple times on a 27' iMac, and then another half dozen times on repeat on a 50" tv screen just to make sure he was totally satisfied. I always want to be crystal clear that my clients are 100% happy with their final product. Matik simply stated he loved it, he couldn't wait to release it, and that he wanted to hire me to shoot his music videos once a month moving forward. He seemed extremely happy and excited about how it turned out. The following day I received an email from Matik stating that there were scenes that were out of focus that bothered him, (no mention of lighting or graininess issues). He seemed to have had an unusually dramatic change to his excitement at our viewing just the day before. Regardless, I immediately emailed him (as he states in his negative review), and requested he send me the exact clips that bothered him and that it was easily remedied, (there was plenty of footage to work with and it would not have been a problem to adjust what he had requested). In his review he states I responded but then later states he never heard back from me (which contradicts itself). In fact, after I responded (within 24hours), I never heard back from him. From that point I emailed him multiple times, texted him multiple times, and left multiple voice messages all in attempts to primarily appease his video issues, and secondly, to check on him personally to see that everything was ok (for him not to respond at all was peculiar and I was personally concerned for him beyond only business). This negative review is the first contact I've had since he left glowing reviews five months ago. I encourage anyone to feel free to contact Matik at the email address he provided in his review and request to view the final video. For the very small budget ($1600); I conceptualized, location scouted - booked a downtown loft with rooftop, did full casting and hiring of the lead girl, hired an assistant, hired a make up/hairstylist, aquired all the necessary equipment, provided set props, shot, directed and edited Matik's video; as he himself stated, "hassle free, as agreed upon, on time, and as promised."
