Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. My most common types of jobs are editing professional copy (brochures, investment guides, proposals), papers, essays, and website copy. I also write a lot of blog posts, articles, and SEO entries.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love that I get paid to write. Writing and editing have always been my strengths and my passion. I also like the flexible hours and the way I get to work with clients one-on-one to put together the perfect final product.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Reading and writing are two sides of the same coin. If you want to write for a living, read a lot. And write as often as you can. In addition to my work, I have a personal blog where I write up to 10 posts a day. In Malcolm Gladwell's book "Outliers," he says that to be an expert, you need 10,000 hours of practice at your craft. Spend as much time writing as you can.
