At Events by Eladia, we live and love event planning. The opportunity to make someone's vision a reality is a great joy. Assisting the client with picking out the details - from the setting of the flowers to the linen that are placed on the guest seating and then watching their faces as they see their vision for the first time is absolutely thrilling.
With a very extensive background in entertainment, ShawShona Eladia Monge began event planning more than 15 years ago in Los Angeles, CA. She started off as a talent manager, and this lead to other avenues. People then began to ask her to host parties and events. It was then when she was asked to do her first wedding by a cousin, that's when she knew this was her calling.
When it was time to build a team she only went for the best of the best; from hiring award winning event designers, celebrity chefs, celebrity DJs, to the most elite waiter and bartenders that have worked for the entertainment industries most private upscale parties.
Shawshona Eladia's experience has taken her to create and plan events in her home town of Los Angeles to Atlanta, and New York. From weddings to baby showers, record releases to Grammy parties, screenings to premiers, every day brings a new event, a new experience and this is because every event is as unique as the client who hired us and every client is treated like a celebrity.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Always have ideas wriiten down, even if you have 1000 ideas for your event. This will help the planner narrow down what is best and what would fir in your budget.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. If I were a customer I would want to know what kind of experience the planner has had. I would also want to know how long the vendors that he/she may provide their experience as well.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. How many events is the planner working on during the time they would need the planner. This gives the client an idea of how available the planner would be to them. Most clients want a pretty open planner to cater to them.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My work is different because I really listen to the client and not try to over load them with my own ideas. I like to take what they have brought to the table and build within their budget.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. What I love most about my job is seeing the clients face when it is all put together. That brings me the most joy!!!
