Our goal is to provide you with professional-quality transcripts, from most types of digital media, in a short amount of time.

Special vocabularies are no problem -- we research everything that we transcribe.

We transcribe: Analyst calls, brainstorming sessions, conference calls, conferences, discussion groups, focus groups, infomercials, interviews for books, magazines, newspapers and dissertations, inventories, lectures, news, newsletters, oral histories, podcasts, radio and television broadcasts, roundtable discussions, seminars, sermons, story conferences, training sessions, videotaped events, voicemail, webcasts, and workshops.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It is helpful, when requesting a quote, to know what type of audio file you wish transcribed (MP3, DSS, WMA), how large it is in megabytes, and how long it is.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Transcripts can only be as good as your audio. If you can't make out every word of your recording, chances are we won't be able to, either.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Will my transcript be fully researched and proofread before it is delivered to me?

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Transcription is a great way of acquiring new knowledge. The more complex the subject, the more interesting it is. Research is fun and keeps a job from becoming stale.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. It would be great if customers realized that it doesn't take an hour to transcribe an hour's worth of audio. One can do a mediocre job in about four hours, a decent job in six hours, and a truly excellent job in eight hours.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Transcription is just another way of processing words. I started out as a typesetter back when the job consisted of punching holes in paper tape. This turned into desktop publishing with the advent of the personal computer. Then I became intrigued with the field of court reporting and spent years literally learning to listen. Which is what transcription is all about!
