Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask questions about their competence. If needed, ask for references. Make sure they are qualified to do whatever work you need.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Find out where the plants and materials are coming from. Wholesale nurseries? Big consumer stores? Will the service provider be selecting the plants, or will it be left to the nursery? This can mean a huge difference in quality.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What is your experience in regards to my project?
Will you stay within the scope of the agreed upon work and for the agreed upon price?
Do you finish your projects on time i.e. within the estimated time frame discussed?
