A. Private birthday celebrations
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. As soon as you have a date for the event contact me, I get booked months in advance. I cannot hold a date until my contract is completed. You will be sent confirmation that the date and time is yours!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. No wishing, just hard work and dedication and willing to be challenged.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. I need good light and space. I always appreciate a bottle of cold water to.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My work is my own designs. I challenge myself to create each piece differently so each is a custom design for the individual. Transforming each person into their own piece of art.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I travel and get to celebrate with a diversity of people. I am honored to be part of someone's special day.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How long have I been painting. Since I can remember I have been expressing myself in all types of mediums. As a face painter I receive instant gratification in each person's transformation when they look in the mirror.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Odd requests are always a giggle... dancing hot dog with tennis shoes, snake going in one nostril and out the other. A sweet grandchild asked if I could paint flowers on her grandma and I said sure and grandma then quietly asked for a bloody eyeball on her forehead to surprise her grand child.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. Being a working artist is a treasure.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I volunteered at many events to paint and I kept hearing that I should be doing this professionally and I decided to see if I could. It's been a great experience.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. My daughter wanted to be a scary rabbit for Halloween and she had faith enough in my work, for me to help her with this transformation.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Always searching into marketing. I would love to attend more jams, seminars and conventions.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Things change on a daily basis. New materials are always being created.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. Private Halloween Event. They are returning customers, of which I have many. My painting was an accessory for their costumes before they went trick or treating. two and half hours of painting cost $150.00, memories created, priceless!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Practice and try an apprenticeship from a established artist, volunteer your services occasionally. Stand your ground with prices, mileage and time. Always continue to learn, and always be smiling and be humble in your work.
