Marina Sheppard is amazing. She is a phenomenal! My son attends Monta Vista HS in Cupertino and was struggling with geometry. He passed first semester with a D and barely made it to his second semester. I found Marina on Craigslist and called her right away. She was warm and incredibly sensitive to my son's challenges. Marina's tutoring style is patient and kind. She allowed my son to make mistakes and showed him that his understanding of geometry was stellar - his algebra skills that were poor. Her synopsis of this exemplified her professionalism and ability to locate the key reasons he was failing geometry. My son was finished his second semester with a passing grade = C as he aced his final exam. He is now a tutor for the SBS program at Monta Vista HS --- the same after school program offered at the high school for students (peer tutoring). Guess what subject? GEOMETRY. Marina helped my son realize his potential and encouraged him to study harder (and correctly). She is an exceptional tutor with a big heart and a great hug!

She helped me improve by 2 letter grades and also catch up on my basic math skills. She is very friendly, understanding, and patient. Not only will she help with homework but she will also help you study for tests/quizzes. I recommend her because out of all the math teachers/tutors I have encountered, she was the only one to really help me understand and enjoy the curriculum I was faced with.

Marina is a great teacher and a wonderful person. My son enjoyed Geometry lessons with her and feels very confident about his Geometry knowledge.
