I first met Steve when he inspected a home for a buyer and I was representing the seller. I was so impressed with his entire approach. I have since recommended Steve exclusively to buyers and insisited my daughter use his services when she purchased her own home. I would definitely have him inspect my own home before I even put it on the market. Steve exceeds expectations.

Having been in the construction industry since 1971, I know a complete professional when I see one. His knowledge is all encompassing. He provided first rate, on the spot written evaluations. Scheduling the appointment quickly was invaluable due to the short financing window. I recommend him to anyone purchasing a home or evaluating their current residence.

Steve has always been a valuable addition to my real estate investment team. While buying foreclosures, he has been able to identify several problems areas of my houses that were not visually apparent. When escrow closes, I feel confident what repairs need to be done, thanks to Steve.

We were first-time homebuyers, and picked Steve based on our realtor's recommendation. He was great, and we plan to call on him again whenever we need an inspector. He was very thorough, took plenty of time to discuss his findings with us on-site, and his report was very detailed. He was also willing to come back out at a reduced rate shortly before close of escrow to verify repairs were made, and also recently came by a third time at no charge to take a look at something else for us.

Steve is very thorough!!! I hold a very high standard of need with regards to home inspections and Steve met those needs and then some. I pointed out things that were of concern to me and he also found areas that I should consider wisely with regard to the home I was looking to buy. I feel that I was given a lot more information than if I had skipped on the inspection or hired someone else to complete it. Steve doesn't just tell you, he shows you with pictures and in writing. His service and attention to the business he is in can be seen in his presentation skills and his follow through, even after he has provided the initial service to you, he still provides a service.

A. Before calling to schedule a home inspection with First Choice Inspections, you should have the following information available: 1. What is the property address, and size/ age of the home? 2. Is there a pool/spa or are there any outbuildings to be inspected? 3. Are the utilities turned on? (gas, water, electric) 4. Are all areas of the home accessible for inspection? 5. What is the name, email address, and phone number of your real estate agent? Having this information ready and available when will ensure a smooth scheduling process.
A. When you have your home inspected by First Choice Inspections , you will never get a "rushed" inspection. 3-4 hours is usually taken to inspect the average home. You will always receive your inspection report, complete with photos, the same day as the inspection. In most cases, a rough draft of the report is printed out on-site, and will be used during your personal walk-through at the end of the inspection. This is your personal time with the Inspector to get all of your questions answered and to go over any deficiencies noted in the inspection report. The final report will be emailed to you later that same day. Once a client, always a client! Feel free to contact the Inspector at any time with questions pertaining to your new home.
A. The question most asked by potential customers is "How much is your inspection fee?" When consulting the services of a home inspector, you are buying the Inspector's knowledge, experience, and expertise in his field. You will usually get what you pay for. A few dollars saved on a lower-priced inspection fee may end up being very costly for you if a less-experienced Inspector misses just one item. Your new home is costing you a lot of money. Don't skimp on your inspection! A professional, thorough inspection by a highly-qualified Inspector is priceless!
A. As a member in good standing of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA), I am required to accrue a minimum of 30 hours of educational credits each and every year. CREIA is the oldest and largest State inspector association in the nation. I have been an active CREIA member since 2003 and have served as President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the north San Diego county chapter. I hold the MCI (Master CREIA Inspector) designation, which requires additional education, experience, and testing to acquire. Only about 10% of those Inspectors taking the MCI exam pass it.
