About
When you have your home inspected by First Choice Inspections , you will never get a "rushed" inspection. 3-4 hours is usually taken to inspect the average home. You will always receive your inspection report, complete with photos, the same day as the inspection. In most cases, a rough draft of the report is printed out on-site, and will be used during your personal walk-through at the end of the inspection. This is your personal time with the Inspector to get all of your questions answered and to go over any deficiencies noted in the inspection report. The final report will be emailed to you later that same day. Once a client, always a client! Feel free to contact the Inspector at any time with questions pertaining to your new home.

We were first-time homebuyers, and picked Steve based on our realtor's recommendation. He was great, and we plan to call on him again whenever we need an inspector. He was very thorough, took plenty of time to discuss his findings with us on-site, and his report was very detailed. He was also willing to come back out at a reduced rate shortly before close of escrow to verify repairs were made, and also recently came by a third time at no charge to take a look at something else for us.

Steve is very thorough!!! I hold a very high standard of need with regards to home inspections and Steve met those needs and then some. I pointed out things that were of concern to me and he also found areas that I should consider wisely with regard to the home I was looking to buy. I feel that I was given a lot more information than if I had skipped on the inspection or hired someone else to complete it. Steve doesn't just tell you, he shows you with pictures and in writing. His service and attention to the business he is in can be seen in his presentation skills and his follow through, even after he has provided the initial service to you, he still provides a service.

Steve has always been a valuable addition to my real estate investment team. While buying foreclosures, he has been able to identify several problems areas of my houses that were not visually apparent. When escrow closes, I feel confident what repairs need to be done, thanks to Steve.

Steve was friendly, professional, detailed, and very helpful. He continued being helpful after the inspection by answering some questions that came up later. I highly recommend Steve.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a member in good standing of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA), I am required to accrue a minimum of 30 hours of educational credits each and every year. CREIA is the oldest and largest State inspector association in the nation. I have been an active CREIA member since 2003 and have served as President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the north San Diego county chapter. I hold the MCI (Master CREIA Inspector) designation, which requires additional education, experience, and testing to acquire. Only about 10% of those Inspectors taking the MCI exam pass it.
