We offer students a level package based on a 5-belt system, where they pay for a certain number of levels they would like to achieve. Then you work out a schedule with Mr. Tew on when and where to train.
Rick Tew's levels training program offers focused levels training as outlined in our philosophy and system book (also visible at the NinjaGym website).
Each person that signs up will get a copy along with the breakdown of what each level has in it (18 specific tactics).
This program includes a minimum of 18 private group classes.
Each class will be between 1-3 hours (2 hours average). However, because students are paying for the level and not really 18 classes, it might take some longer and thus a few more level-specific classes will be added.
This way, the student and the instructor can work around their own schedules, and they can learn at their own pace.
Each class would include a RTMS multi-martial art review (stances, rolls, falls, strikes, kicks, techniques) of 20-40 minutes, and then it would include the actual focus on the techniques for the chosen level.
Mr. Tew has a very limited amount of time each year to devote towards his private students. So, you must be flexible with training quarterly, but this will also give you time to practice what you have learned.
Rick Tew has been teaching and running martial art programs for more than 20 years. Rick took over his first martial arts school at 17, started his first dojo at 19 and moved to Europe at 21 to teach his own system of martial arts - Rick Tew’s Martial Science. But not only that, Rick has been the leader in this industry and other similar programs and camps you find on the Internet in his market, have simply copied and continue to copy his programs and teachings.
Rick has taught people from all walks of life to take advantage of his proven strategies for enhancing one’s mind, body and spirit. In fact, these strategies were so effective; Rick wrote a book on the subject and created an entirely new system for life-enhancement called Winjitsu - the mental martial art.
Rick has run martial art schools, seminars, ninja camps and live-in martial arts programs for the last 20 years. He has taught all over the world.
Rick’s system of martial art is fun, effective and is the ultimate foundation for improving any martial artist’s skill in the martial arts. It doesn't matter what system or background you have; his program will give you the edge you need and are looking for.
Rick Tew’s history as a martial arts instructor is an open book. His skills are available on videos and websites like YouTube; photos are available showing him training in countries all over the world. Rick’s literature is all over the internet.
Rick Tew has real, concrete proof that he can not only teach you the skills required to improve your martial arts, but also to improve your life with his help, regardless of your personal situation.
Almost every student has a story to share about how Rick has changed their life, thanks to the strategies he has packed into his "College of Martial Science" camps and courses.
From Rick Tew:
“When I was a teenager, I developed an interest in the martial arts. But I was also interested in traveling, the outdoors and adventure (new experiences). Although being a "typical" martial arts instructor, running a dojo was exciting; it was only part of my dream.
As I grew older, I started to take students training at the beach, in the mountains and on every type of terrain from the grass to the gravel. I also took students with me to rock climb, camp and to unique locations out of the city, when I began to realize I wasn't the only one who enjoyed a more complete mind, body and spirit training concept. I have since been doing this for over 20 years and have created a system that is not just a martial art - it truly is a way of life.
This is what led me to take my experiences as a martial artist and combine them into a system that included what makes life exciting and how to live a dream. I decided not to just have a martial arts style but, instead, to have a lifestyle. And now I teach others how to do the same.
Here's something else you should know about me.
I'm interested in working with people who are committed to success! So if you're serious about living a life that you are in charge of, then I want to work with you.

“Rick is totally dedicated to his students. He's all about giving them all the opportunities he can, so they can live the lifestyle that he has. What you want, when you want, where you want, why you want, and with whom you want."
What is the martial arts science?
RTMS is not just another martial art. Rick Tew's martial science is geared towards the enhancement of mind, body and spirit and it is a lifestyle. We focus on developing a strong character, self-esteem, life enhancing goals, self-confidence, self-discipline, physical conditioning and building knowledge through the martial arts experience.
Rick Tew's NinjaGym, Martial Arts Fitness Camp, College of Martial Science and Modern Ninjitsu are a combination of effective, usable, realistic martial arts principles that make it into its elite system. Because students are not expected to conform to an art, they can use a scientific approach to being their best. A typical martial art can be limited to its tradition, yet RTMS is focused more on the student rather than its master. It is ever changing and it is not limited to the approach of having any labels, set katas or "do as I do" training. The student is in charge of his/her training and is self powered.
A few testimonials from students of Rick Tew's martial science:
What is unique about Rick Tew?
Anthony Dipiazza Flint - Michigan, United States
"Rick Tew is very skilled with the martial arts. He provides quality training and provides the best classes that he can give you. Even though Rick is my Sensei, I still consider him as a good friend of mine. I had a lot of fun with him in Thailand. To be honest, Rick is one of the first persons I met that believed in me and my dreams for the future. Rick is a great leader, motivator and roll model. Rick is someone I will never forget."
Ronnie Lopez - Sydney - Australia
"I have had the privilege of meeting some multi-millionaires and successful people in different fields such as the personal development field, property investment field, forex markets and trading fields. I have sat down and been exposed to some people who are complete frauds too. I can vouch that Rick really does what he preaches, he walks the talk rather than talks the talk. He is very congruent in what he says and passionate as a result because he has actually lived it. He has a genuine energy about him, and that energy definitely comes from a place of contribution and creating value for others."
Kris Butler - Canada
"Rick Tew is a unique man to say the least. He walks a path tread by few. He is someone who enjoys his life to the fullest of his desires and lives by his code of freedom in his personal choices. He is not one to have an idea and fear to try and make it happen and as the saying "carpe diem" goes. He truly does seize his day. Use a keen eye, an open ear and a filed-down tongue and you can find out how as well.
His way of thought and development is something that I have never experienced before meeting him. His strategies may be hard for most, but stick to it and it will work.
If you have the will, then he helps you find your way. I had always been looking for more out of what I was doing with my life, but was not sure where to find it. Rick Tew is the one man, who thanks to his direct and indirect influence, has put me on a path to something greater than what I can I can put into words."
Jamien Ousey - Santa Barbara, California - USA
"He is very intelligent, very funny, very cool and very disciplined. This rare combination of attributes makes Rick a dynamo of a person and teacher."
Ortwin Cyrus (Junior) - Holland / Netherlands
"Never met anyone like him or with his talents. One of the very few creative minds that actually practice what he preaches. A true leader by example and good role model."
Jabez Parsons - Acton, Maine - USA
"Rick Tew is very different from most adults I know. He is not tied down by many of the inconveniences that our parents tell us we have to learn to deal with because "that's life." He has all the time in the world you could say, and uses all that time for the personal growth of himself and his students. He will never tell you that you cannot do something but always encourages positive thinking, acting and being."
Cédric Cobban - Sherbrooke, Québec - Canada
"Let's see, well he's unpredictable so you can never really expect to know what will happen. So combine that with easy going and no fortune teller in the world will figure out where the hell he'll be a week from now. His method of teaching is awesome, very clear and simple. The way his classes are organized are also fun since they are not repetitive. He's also an overall fun guy, does pretty much everything with the students. He LAN parties (computer gaming) with us (more like we LAN party with him)."
Shawn Heimbigner, Washington USA
"Rick Tew tells things as he sees them, a property you don't see in many anymore."
Mark Williams - Portsmouth - England
"Rick is unlike any other martial arts instructor you'll meet. In the class room he is tough, but fair. You will receive no special treatment whatsoever. In the beginning you think he is being rude or unjust, but you soon learn (although you may not understand his motives) he knows best. So if you're doing a hundred push ups for saying, "um" don't be surprised! But when we're not training, he's just one of the guys. We go out for pizza (he'll eat rabbit food) watch a film or even play a few hours of Half Life multi player! Rick is a sound advisor he's been there done that and mass produced the T-shirt, so use listen to his advice well."
Ross Kottmyer - Virginia - USA
"He doesn't let his sensei title keep him from having fun with the students, but also doesn't miss an opportunity for an important and serious lesson. Most people feel they have to be all fun or all serious instead of balanced."
Josiah Lewis - Chattanooga, Tennessee - USA
"The better question would be: what is not unique about Rick? Training with Rick is not like training with a normal sensei in a normal dojo. You give Rick respect not because he demands it or because its protocol but because he has earned it. He is just as much a friend to his students as he is a teacher, and he is always looking out for the student's best interests."
Carlos Puente - Durango - Mexico
"The way he teaches his system, he helps you get interested in many aspects of the martial training. He is one of the only adults I know that is in better shape than many younger people who also exercise often."
Richard Nelson - Galveston, Texas - USA
"To try to put Sensei into a clearly defined box that would sum up his entire being is probably impossible. He's a good guy once you get to know him, and understand what he's trying to accomplish. While some people might think that he can be a little too sporadic at times, I view it as just an overall eagerness to keep things always improving. He is a very focused man who knows what he would like to get out of life, and then strives to achieve it."
Nate Paul - Palm Harbor, Florida - USA
"Rick is totally dedicated to his students. He's all about giving them all the opportunities he can, so they can live the lifestyle that he has. What you want. When you want. Where you want. Why you want, and with Whom you want."
Kathryn Felice - Los Angeles, California - USA
"He follows his passion. Oh yeah, and his full name is not Richard. It's Ricky. Check it out. Ask for his driver's license."
Kevin Ogden - Madison, Wisconsin - USA
"His teaching is world renowned by my standards and probably everyone else's. I like how nothing is the same, it's always changing and that's how a person grows, therefor the system grows. It never gets boring, Rick finds a way to make it fun and interesting. I like that he wants everyone to be instructors to each other so you learn much more and help each other out."
Marco Van Der Weijden - Holland / Netherlands
"The unique thing about Rick Tew is his flexibility to handle every situation in a creative way, whether it is for the martial arts or in life."
Billy Sanders - Little Rock Arkansas - USA
"He's a person who built himself up physically and mentally, and has learned many ranging skills with sheer drive and self motivation that others spend triple the time and hundreds or thousands of dollars for someone else to teach them and still don't completely understand."
Craig Heading - Australia
"He somehow knows how to take you to the point of constantly being challenged, not that hard that it's beyond you but definitely not too easy. He is also a fantastic martial artist and I am yet to meet anyone else that can have a phone conversation in the middle of a grappling (jiu-jitsu) match whilst having a ankle lock applied to him."
Bas Bausman - Holland
"He seems to do things that most people would never even consider doing and seems to make them work."
Joost Van Munster - Holland / Netherlands
"His inner motivation, his drive to reach his goals and his way of radiating his energy to those around him. He makes you want to do things set and reach your own goals."
Craig Peterson - Cedar Rapids, Iowa - USA
"The most unique thing about Rick is his ability to blow your mind as soon as you think you've figured it out."
A. Try to determine what your goals are in advance and realize that regardless of how good a coach or a instructor is, it will require you to take action. The best strategy is to get quality instruction, and then take some time yourself to master these skills on your own time. Work out a schedule to meet with your Instructor for focused private classes throughout the year and on a quarterly basis. This way, not only can you learn new material, but you can also test and review what you have been taught in previous lessons. By signing up for a Level program you are not only getting the best price per class, but you are also setting your goals high enough to inspire you into action.
A. There are instructors and coaches that can do far more than just teach you how to punch and kick. The martial arts can be a lesson in life as well as a great way to stay in shape. The new craze in fitness is cross training and the martial arts is one of the best strategies to use to ensure you are getting good cross training (and muscle confusion) into your workouts. With the right attitude and focus, you too can master the martial arts from home by working with a quality instructor with a quality program on a part-time basis throughout the year. Most people assume they don't have enough time, but you do and a good martial arts instructor will help you manage your workouts to fit into your own schedule.
A. Be sure to find out if the instructor actually has real teaching and coaching experience or are they using you to figure it all out. Many times a martial artist or athelete will take a stab at teaching. However, a good martial artists or athlete does not make them a good coach or instructor. How many years have they been training, teaching and sharing their skills? Do they have a book that outlines their system and what will your be learning? Don't just hire someone because the look the part - get an experienced instructor that can take you further. It also might be a good idea to see if your instructor shares a similar philosophy in life, health or ask them what their principles for improving mind, body and spirit are.
