Introduction: Hola! This is Maria Vargas, founder and owner of Straight from Spain Academy. I’m originally from Valencia, Spain and moved to Los Angeles 8 years ago. In all these years I’ve been teaching Spanish and little by little I’ve created the best courses and recruit the best Spanish tutors! I founded this academy to help and support people who really want to learn the language and the culture of all Spanish speaking countries. My team of Spanish tutors are specialized in teaching in a specific an individualize way. Your goal is our goal! Maria is an incredible teacher! I did not speak a word of Spanish, and after five lessons I am able to have some basic conversations in Spanish. Highly recommended.

I am an elementary level speaker, with my only experience in Spanish coming from Duolingo and music. I was looking for an instructor to aid in taking my speaking/listening skills to the next level. So far I have only had a trial class with Spain Academy but the Maria's knowledge, communication, and personality have left me with an exceptional first impression - I plan on signing up for a program with Spain Academy and I am very excited to develop my language skills even further! Highly recommend
