FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My practice is located in Los Angeles County and is centered on litigation of all varieties of breach of contract actions. This may include collecting for someone or a company that is owed money usually from a business agreement or defending cases in which someone else claims that a person or a company owes money involving a business agreement. These situations may be big or small and involve the state or federal courts. I also work with people who are being pursued by a debt collector. In some instances, defenses exist to the debt that people are unaware of especially if the person does not owe the debt. In addition, I also work with people and businesses that have disputes with insurance companies, including those who have been sued and are looking for their insurance company to provide a lawyer to them as promised in the insurance contract. Finally I also represent people in administrative hearings, tort actions and simple chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The most satisfying things I help people or companies with is helping them obtain a "free" lawyer from their insurance company when a person or company is sued by someone. Except in motor vehicle accident situations, most people don't think to consult their insurance agent and insurance company when they have been sued or are being threatened with a lawsuit by someone. A prerequisite to obtaining a lawyer paid for by the insurance company is that you have insurance that covers the claim against you. A homeowners policy, a renter's policy or a Commercial General Liability often provide you with lawyers to defend you for certain kinds of lawsuits. If you have insurance and you have been sued, you should speak with me or another attorney to see if you may be able to obtain a lawyer paid for by insurance.
