Introduction: My extensive knowledge and background is rarely found in massage therapists trained in California. My approach is therapeutic in nature and I work to find the source of the discomfort rather than providing a quick "Band-Aid" fix. I was fortunate enough to have my first job at a physical therapy clinic where medical conditions were abundant. I do not have a set routine as I listen to your body and let it take me where I need to be. You can relax and get the job done at the same time! I specialize in deep tissue massage and Trigger Point therapy and now also offer spa treatments such as reflexology, paraffin wax bath, and ear candling. What keeps me going is the rewards of making someone's discomfort melt away. Learning the meaning of compassion. The power my hands are sharing in healing people.

Ive been to massage therapists as I needed them to relieve overworked muscles for 15 years. I recently came to Isabelle with a six month lingering, debilitating and painful shoulder problem. During my first visit to Isabelle it became immediately apparent that she possesses acute knowledge of the bodys physiology. She was able to target the epicenter of the pain and gently caress and manipulate the internal workings of my shoulder. As a results of the thoughtful and skilled application of her hands I am now enjoying increased range of motion without pain. The very first time I received a massage from Isabelle, I was hooked! I have scoliosis, and I carry a ton of tension all over. Her knowledge of anatomy comes through her hands. And I feel immediately better with lasting relief for up to two weeks after. I love that she goes in deep with assisted stretches and coaches my breathing to help me release the psoas- a muscle so deep to the hip and core most practitioners don't go there. Isabelle has a lot of healthy lifestyle wisdom to share and I always leave with new inspiration for recipes! She's an all around cool gal, friendly and genuine. I never miss a chance to get a massage from her when I'm in Tecopa -she's a real treasure!!!

Iza and i worked together in 2008, and compared to where i was at in my development as an MT, she had some serious skills on me! Her technique with myofascial release was non invasive yet super effective! She works precicely and methodically, and is really knowledgable about massage. Shes on another level of skill than your basic MT. I highly recommend ongoing work with her.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 3000 hours of Canadian training in massage therapy and reflexology. "Registered massage therapist" is my Canadian title. In California, a CMT ("Certified Massage Therapist") only need to acquired 500 hours of training. You could compare my training with the California physical therapists training. My first job was at a physiotherapy clinic; sports injuries, professional hockey players, work disabilities, whiplash injuries, etc.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always fascinated with the human body. Back in 2004, I was looking for a way in without having to become an MD. I started studying Reflexology. I was hooked! In 2005, I decided to invest 2 years of my life and a lot of money to become a Registered Massage Therapist with 2500 hours of training. Then, I took my skills on the road and worked in Costa Rica and Honduras and now, California. My passion didn't stop there: in 2010, I trained at the Upledger Institute in Florida in Cranio-Sacral Therapy. In 2012, it was Thai Yoga massage. In 2014, I became a Registered Yoga Teacher.
