I use a fusion of massage styles from around the world in my work. I am certified in each style that I use.

I like to provide my clients with a friendly, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I am a skilled professional in the bodywork field, and I work with clients on a daily basis on issues ranging from a simple relaxing and soothing massage therapy to sports therapy, pain issue therapy, plus unique and difficult issues such as acute or chronic pain.

If you have issues, I will generally find them. I have been doing this long enough. I can find knots, trigger points, lactic acid, etc. in my clients' tissues. Part of treating something is to be able to find it, and that comes with experience.

Ask for Deb, CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) and LMT. I am licensed by the CA State Massage Association.

See my references, photos, certifications, and my studio, which you can visit, by visiting my website. I do not accept walk-ins; you must contact me to schedule your appointment.

I do in-call massage in San Fernando Valley and out-call massage in Los Angeles. I also provide therapeutic massage and sciatica massage.

I am offering in-call massage in Canoga park, out-call massage in Los Angeles, mobile massage therapy in San Fernando Valley and medical massage, specializing in deep tissue.

    THE HANDS OF A HEALER
From the minute she touched me I could feel the difference. Since being injured in a sporting accident I have been in search of a good massage therapist. Deborah was recommended to me by a friend at the health club. “She’s fantastic” was his claim.
However after receiving treatments from some local massage therapists offering $40 massages, or long term contracts from the corporate chains that wanted to bill me monthly whether I got a massage or not, I was skeptical to say the least. To top it off, no one seemed to know what they were doing at these places, and part of the time I actually left feeling worse!
My shoulder and sciatic pain relentlessly persisted.
So I made an appointment and what a surprise, I was amazed from the start. She began by diagnosing my problem areas then went to work.
From the beginning I could feel the difference that can only be explained by the word 'professional', she is indeed a true practitioner of the art.
I give her a 5 star recommendation and stress the importance of setting and following a treatment plan.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Consider certifications. If all you seek is a swedish massage, that is the basic training of most therapists and not diffuclt to acquire. If you want a more extensively trained therapist, ask if they have addl. certifications surpassing the basic swedish and deep tissue certs (gen. around 125 hours of training to acquire). Ask if they are licensed. A licensed therapist will gen have a minimum of 300-500+ hours of massage education.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. That there is a difference between a general spa style relaxation massage - and a therapeutic massage directed at addressing pain. The training and certifications are different.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. If the client has specific issues they are seeking massage therapy for - ask the therapist if the massage modalities they are certified in will help with that issue.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am sought out by clients with sciatica pain. I have treated many sciatica cases, both acute and chronic.
Also work on Lumbar pain, in seeking out the trigger point(s) causing the pain or limited range of motion. I am certified in several massage styles specific to treating pain and injury issues.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy when my clients step out of the the massage room after their massage and tell me "I feel so much better!" ... "I feel so relaxed!" ... "I can move so much more easily now!" ...
