Honestly, it was my first time using thumbtack and I’m glad I did because she made it the best impression! I am so glad I came across her page! She was immediately responsive, and helped bring my vision to life! I had many ideas and couldn’t quite narrow it down so after sharing it with her she truly added her creative touch! She also is very professional, updating and detailing everything to share with you of her steps! On top of that she used fresh ingredients with honest reviews of how the result would look and taste! I loved her honesty, her help, and most importantly her creativity!! The guests LOVED IT! They all asked about the flavor of the cake, where and how it was made! Would absolutely be coming back! I kept adding more and she was able to help accommodate me! Super generous of her for the additional cupcakes, thank YOU so much! My guests and I LOVED THEM so much that it was being shouted and asked constantly! OH and this order was made for my intimate wedding reception! So YES she does wedding cakes and treats!!

Not only was my wedding cake beautiful it’s was delicious!!! She stayed and decorated the cake at our venue so that it was perfect and it was!!! It was stunning I showed her a photo and she made it even better. We were so grateful!

Nakiya is an amazing baker who created a gorgeous 3-tier marbled wedding cake with vanilla buttercream icing for our wedding in Malibu. The cake was absolutely stunning, and it tasted even better than it looked. Nakiya was so easy to work with, and she was happy to accommodate all of our requests. She even delivered the cake to our venue free of charge. And to top it all off, she gifted us a 4" mini-cake that she packaged up so we could enjoy it on our anniversary. Pricing is custom and the quote that is provided to the customer is based off their specific order, cake design, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get a sense of what the event is going to be. Knowing small details are super important for me. I share a quick list of questions to the customer, which lays a foundation to make sure the final product meets their expectations and some!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught and learn from other professional cake bakers and cake artists. I invest in my craft with various classes. I have also decided to take a further step in going to Professional Baking school (Knowledge is Greatness).
