I am so happy we found this daycare. I was so stressed and overwhelmed looking for a loving, caring, and responsible person/daycare. The first day i met Mrs. Alma i felt at ease and as if we had previosuly known her. She was very welcoming and has a peacful home. My kids love coming here and now she just feels like family to my kids. My son especially loves the big back yard. I love the set-up she has. i am very happy with chosing this daycare.

Question and answer

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. The jobs of a childcare provider are endless! Fun activities and exploration are the most important! :)

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure they are trained, licensed, and certified. Ask how many years of experience they have and why they choose this career! Child development majors and teachers are good quality providers. But, what really makes the difference is if your child enjoys attending that daycare!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Make sure children are attended at ALL times! Two providers or caregivers are better than one! Make sure they do not watch TV all day!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are your qualifications? How many years experience you have? What do children do in your daycare? What services do you offer?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We provide smaller ratios than centers. Our ratio is 1:7 at full capacity. But, most days it is 1:4.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love being present when children develop and accomplish new skills and milestones in their life!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Q: What do the children do all day?
A: They construct their own learning through play and exploration of both the materials and the environment. They practice social-emotional skills. They are creative and explorers of the world!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. My favorite story is unfolded every day the children demonstrate their knowledge through their play and activities.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I am a responsable, caring, and loving childcare provider.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I enjoy working in fun activities with the children, caring for them, and sharing their love!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I enjoy attending child development workshops, trainings, conferences, and classes. Both in person and online.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. I just enrolled at Pacific Oaks College and I am pursuing my B.A. in Human Development.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We recently remodeled our bathroom. My husband and his working crew did an amazing job! You want to view it? Schedule a tour and come see it! The project took about a month. It took all our savings, but we are saving again. :)

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. My rates are $30 a day or $120 a week for children 2 years old or older.

My rates for infants and toddlers under 2 years old are $35 a day or $160 a week.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My greatest strengths are my responsibility and quality care toward my students. I love my job, doing arts and crafts, and caring for children.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. I'm currently working on better marketing and advertisement!
