- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly learn new things. I taught myself SketchUp to help my clients with 3D visualizations. I continue to learn and apply sustainable "green" practices. I follow Universal Design for accessibility to all.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was good at math and enjoyed art - it was a natural combination!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest avoiding architects with a certain unmodifiable "style" (unless, of course you like exactly the same thing as they do). By all means, look at the website - it will tell you a lot about attention to details and design sense. Most of all, look for someone with a customer service attitude. You need someone who can understand YOU and adjust their design ambitions to what you need.
