Kai is a rare bird, the kind of performer and teacher you are lucky to come across once in a lifetime. It was Kai's bass playing that first left me speechless. If you tune into his technical brilliance, you will be left awestruck and inspired, if you tune into his musicality, you will be lifted and left knowing that you have been in the presence of a musical great. I am loving having 'jazz' lessons from Kai. It might seem incongruous for a violinist to take jazz lessons from a bass player but Kai overcomes that gap as effortlessly as he lays down polyrhythms :-)

There are too many good things to say about Kai. First of all, he's played with some of the top musicians in the world, so he's definitely an amazing bassist. He's also one of the nicest people I've ever met. So with those 2 qualities, he's able to teach everything from scales to soloing and improvisation in every style in a very patient and fun way. On a 10/10 scale, I give him a 100+!!!!!!
