Introduction: To Whom It May Concern:
Atemu Aton is currently working in the Oakland Bay area as a performer and music educator. For many years, he has been performing music in Chicago, Europe and in the Bay Area. In addition, he has taught upright and electric bass to a number of students privately, ranging in age from thirteen to thirty five.
Mr. Aton earned his master's degree in music composition from the New England Conservatory of Music and a bachelor's degree in music performance from Chicago State University. He has also released two CDs and one album. He is now in the process of producing a third CD of original compositions.

While pursuing his education, Mr. Aton had the opportunity to study with Dave Holland, Malachi Favors of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, John Lockwood and George Russell, creator of the Lydian Chromatic Concept of tonal harmonization.
