I've been taking classical guitar lessons with Mark for nearly a year now. I met with a few different teachers around the Bay Area and decided to go with Mark, and I have been very happy with that decision. He's friendly and cheerful, takes a structured, well thought out approach to teaching, and of course plays beautifully himself, which always helps inspire me to improve my playing. I think he has a great breadth and depth of teaching experience and it shows, and it's that experience, along with his charisma, that separate him from other teachers. I've improved tremendously since I started working with him -- leaps and bounds above what I'd accomplished in four years of learning on my own -- both as a guitarist and as a musician in general.
