Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Referrals are an important part of choosing someone to work on your home. Sites like thumbtack.com and Angies list make a little easier.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. There is very little that I cannot do or that I don't have experience with.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Every job is different, I am always learning new things and meeting new people.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Customers always ask whether or not I can do some kind of job. Most of the time the answer is yes, if I cannot do the job I can refer someone I have worked with before and would trust to do the work.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. While attending college I moonlighted as a construction worker with a contractor that specialized in remodeling. I have always been good at working with my hands and have an ability to connect with people. After working for a big corporation for 10 years I decided to get back in to construction since I enjoy making things and the pride that comes with seeing a finished product.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. I may narrow my focus and become a licensed contractor, with kitchen and bath remodels as a specialty
