Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When searching for the hypnotherapist who will be the most helpful to you in resolving your issue, it's important to speak with the practitioner before engaging them to work with you. You will want to ask enough questions to see that they have experience and also to determine whether you feel comfortable with this person. It would be good to do a bit of research on the web about hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and how various practitioners use this tool to address your issue. It may help to compose a list of questions to ask, before you make the call.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Hypnosis is a comfortable, natural state between waking and sleep, that people experience on a daily basis. While in an extended version of this comfortable altered state, we are able to obtain the help of our most powerful resources, so that we can most easily make the positive changes and profound life improvements we want to make. Hypnosis is neither magic nor mind-control, unless you wish to consider that it is you, taking control of your own resources. You can improve your results in any undertaking by doing as many things as you can think of toward your desired result. Everything you do makes up your success.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Here are some things you might want to ask of a potential candidate:
What is your experience with my issue?
Do you tailor your sessions to the individual?
How long is a typical session?
What happens during a hypnosis session?
How many sessions are usually needed to resolve my issue?
Do you specialize in any specific issues?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Before you begin to contact a hypnotherapist, or engage any complementary therapist, take a little time to consider what might be required in terms of time and costs. You want to be sure that this is a step that you are ready to take, in the purposeful evolution of your life. If this is not a good time for this, due to some element like overwork, or extra stress or financial constraint, you may decide to delay the work for a little while, and approach it again in a time when you are more prepared. (...and if anxiousness is the issue, you may want to book quite quickly! :) You might also consider that the expenditure of hiring the help of a hypnotherapist may actually be less in the long run than what you might potentially spend if you do not get this help now. Take time to make the most appropriate decision for your personal circumstance. You count on you to care for you!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. In my work as a certified hypnotherapist, I have the good fortune to meet people who are in the process of working purposefully to improve their lives. Hypnotherapy is a simple, respectful way that people can facilitate and support the changes they want to make, and in a short time-frame. When my clients have been able to make their changes, they feel stronger, happier and more comfortable in their lives. They generally finish the work in just a few sessions with a much stronger sense of self, and the ability to face what challenges their lives present with grace and courage. This makes me feel very good.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have always known how very powerful and capable the mind is. The people in my family have usually managed to do what they must do, just by deciding what would happen, and then making it so. This facility includes not only generally difficult events, but also has helped them to face a number of more daunting life-challenges. I learned from watching them. One day, it finally occurred to me that hypnosis might be one way that we could purposefully access that amazingly profound resource. And I was right! From that moment, without ever having experienced a session of hypnosis formally, I decided to become a hypnotherapist. I've been in private practice as a certified hypnotherapist for over 7 years, and I am delighted with each new way I learn that what I imagined is true, true, true.
