Greetings to all...
Please excuse the previous post. There was a typo in the word 'loose'. The correct spelling was 'lose'. Words are very important for understanding purposes,

Being prepared is essential for your child's success this year at school. Schools are at an all time low! Our children are not prepared from elementary, they travel on to middle school where they're already teetering whether to go left or right.
I have taught children, middle and high school students and the results are always the same. Something happens between the 2nd and 4th grades where the children lose something. They loose the excitement, urgency and importance of education. They are not where they are supposed to be academically and this is why the schools are scoring low on their academic report cards.
This is the time children fall off most:
Grades 3-4, then 5th grade, then 7th/8th and 9th grades.
My experience includes, but is certainly not limited to;
1. Ameri-Corp- Tutor (Emerson Elementary - K-5)
2. Art, Recreation, and Curriculum - Tutor (Woodland Elementary - K-5)
3. YMCA Urban Services - Academic Coordinator and Educator (Teen Center - Middle School and High School)
4. Youth Empowerment High School - Teacher/Educator (9-12)
5. Boys and Girls Club of San Leandro - Youth Development Coordinator (Washington Elementary - Main group - 4th and 5th).
6. 5 consecutive summers of private tutoring - grades K-12
What your child(ren) or teen will learn:

Great references from principals, parents and teachers!
A. Try me out! I guarantee that you and your child will see results in 30 days, provided that the student is being tutored consistently, at least 2-3 times per week is strongly recommended for best results.
A. I am in tune with what area the child or youth struggles in. I seek alternative ways to teach the same thing, just in a different way, so that the child/youth understands the basic elements of the same problem. Every child does not learn the same way, so we must not teach every child the same way...
A. When the child has that 'Ah Ha'! moment! that's the best feeling ever.
Getting in tune with the child's learning ability, style and challenges. Then being able to conquer the barrier that may stand in the way of the child's success.
A. Customers most commonly ask me, "how are you different and how are you going to be able to get my child to learn?"
I tell them that I will give their child an personal aptitude test to find out where the child has struggles. I will start off at their lowest point to regenerate an 'i know it' attitude, then we will progress from that point.
Since this is one-on-one tutoring, the child will have a better chance of asking questions and not feeling as if (s)he is 'on the spot' in front of everyone. This helps the student to relax, then they can better internalize the information being learned.
A. Yes! A few of my 4th grade afterschool students were struggling in math; division and division with decimals to be exact. I wrote the steps down in 5 easy to see and understand steps. We all went over the problems during homework, set up as a classroom. Each child had their own dry-erase board, therefore, they were able to write and erase quickly and catch up.
I would begin to call on the students, one by one, asking which step was next, and then as another student what the step was. We did it like a game, over and over for 4 days, on the fifth day (friday), the students tested again. On that Monday, ALL of the students came in sooooo very happy because they had all raised their grades from a D or F to B's and A's and one C. I, myself, gave them all high fives, then went quietly into the staff rest area, and cried. That's my reward! That 'ah ha'! moment!
A. My love for children, and their well being, this deeply includes an adequate and fair education for their development.
