Introduction: I have been in business since 1997. I have helped literally 1000 people make some changes to their lifestyle. I am patient, thoughtful and very confident about how I train my clients. The goal is to get you results in the safest and and most efficient way possible and get you to stick with it! It 's never easy. But I have a few techniques to get clients motivated and focused to stay the course. I get to set my own hours and work with people who value and believe in what I do. It's always rewarding to hear clients tell me that they get compliments about their bodies. The best validation is someone other than me seeing the changes! It tells me that they are happy and really striving to change their lives. As long as I get those rewards from being a fitness professional, then I know I am doing my job.

I have been working out with Abu for the last 4 years. Previously I worked out on my own, but found that I would start routines and abandon them after a few months, with the result that my conditioning would go up and down. Mostly I was quitting the workouts because they took too long to do (1.5 to 2.0 hours) and got repetitive and boring (same cardio followed or preceded by the same weight circuit). After a 50 minute workout directed by Abu I feel like I have accomplished much more than I did in twice the time on my own. Also, because he manages the workout planning, is watching me for form and setting the pace and variety, and being very personable and engaging while doing so, his workouts never get boring and I never worry about getting hurt by doing something completely new. I also do a lot more core exercises than I would do on my own. I have never been in a workout routine that I felt so confident about sustaining.

I first started working with Abu because I was intrigued by his “The Next Level” approach: just start where you are and work to improve to the next level, then the next one after that, etc. He helped me improve my fitness and my overall health significantly. Most impressive has been his knowledgable and very individualized training. In the last 2.5 years, I have had 3 joint-replacement surgeries. For each one, Abu took the time to plan exercises to increase strength in the specific areas that would be most important for post-surgery recovery. I am quite certain that the training Abu has provided for me greatly impacted my recovery from each of these major surgeries. I am healthier, happier and able to walk more easily now than I could before I worked with Abu. I’m sure some credit should go to my orthopedic surgeon — but easily half goes to Abu.

Dr. Abu is training my junior for the 2015 USA Cycling California State and National Junior Championships. Abu's agility and stretching program has really helped. My son, like most kids, refuses to stretch ... However, he is comfortable with Abu and has made good strides in flexibility.

I have been a personal training client of Abu's for over a decade. As I have aged into my 60s, he has helped me stay fit, get stronger, and have more energy and stamina. Working with him is a pleasure, not just because the workout is different every time, but also because he is such a great guy, and I always enjoy our conversations.

Every work out is different and challenging. I never get bored by the work out and my body gets the challenge it needs to stay healthy and fit. Abu keeps reminding us to eat properly and take good care of our bodies. He inspires us to work to our fullest capacity and he plays a great variety of music to work out to. We laugh and have fun and do a complete muscle and cardio workout in an hour. What could be better?
