Welcome future piano students!
Did you take piano lessons as a kid but never learned about chords and how to improvise? Do you want to learn how to play piano but don’t know some of the traditional classical styles of teaching?
Whether you are an adult who regretfully gave up piano when you were a kid and want to take it on again, or you have kids who are ready to get started, I can help you!
I will help you with your technique, theory, sight reading, playing by ear, accompaniment, improvisation and reading charts and lead sheets. Not only will you learn to read music, you will be able to execute the music with good technique, and learn to improvise and potentially compose your own music!
The genres I'm most experienced with teaching are Classical, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Pop, Blues, etc.
Whatever your age or level, I will create a structured and effective lesson plan so that with practice, you will reach your full potential!
Methods: I have developed my own teaching methods over my years of experience and every student is different, so I design a lesson plan to best suit my students' needs. For beginning students, I will sometimes use Faber & Faber and Alfred method books initially, in conjunction with my own methods. But as the student progresses, there is no need for the lesson books. I'm not crazy about them because I find the material to be dated and corny, but it can be helpful when first starting out.
About me: I have played piano for over 30 years, and have been professionally performing for over 20 years. I started studying classical at age 7 and evolved into jazz, R&B, and many other genres of music.
All ages and levels are welcome! I'm also available for events, weddings, parties, etc.!

A. I love what I do feel that I learn from my students as well.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Q: How long will it take me to play this?
A; It depends on how much you practice
